From the pattern:
This shawl is more than a triangle: There are two extra increase rows. This shaping allows the shawl to fit smoothly over the shoulders. The knitting proceeds from the top with garter stitch or any lace. A lace edging is knitted on sideways to finish the lower edge.
Materials: 650 (about) yards of some nice natural-colored wool yarn. Sample knitted in a light sport weight 2-ply, handspun yarn, 7 ounces.
Needle size: 6 to 9 US
Blocked Gauge: about 3 sts per inch.
Knit and block a swatch!
Pattern options:
- Easy Eyelet Edging
- Easy Eyelet Lace Edging
- 3 Point Eyelet Lace Edging
- Zig-zag Half-Diamond Edging
