Sinatra is a two skein, DK, cabled shawlette/shawl written in two sizes. It has increases along the edges and down both sides of the center panel, creating a triangle shape. The cables are easily worked without a cable needle and the center lifted increases add stitches in a unique way. The shawl also displays beautiful knot stitches. This garment is lovely to throw over your shoulders in cooler weather and looks beautiful with a pin or broach for an evening out. A YouTube video is provided to demonstrate the different techniques you’ll be using.

As a huge fan of Frank Sinatra, this shawl reminds me of the time period when he became wildly popular, the 1940s & 50s. A point when knitwear was tailored with classic shaping and thin cables were a staple in hand knit apparel. This shawl represents that golden era with a modern twist.
