The SIP HAPPENS BEANIE is a fun statement hat that wine lovers will appreciate! The mix of waistcoat stitch and cables gives it an elegant look. It is worked in a mix of stitches, using waistcoat stitch, HDC,FPTR, FPDC etc. The colour options are endless, all you need are 2 colours in #4 weight, but you can easily add your own flare and use more colours if desired.
Loose tension is required when working the waistcoat stitch to obtain optimal fit.
UNDERSTANDING OF GRAPHS AND BEING ABLE TO INTERPRET THEM IS REQUIRED!
Yarn for the colour changes was not carried throughout pattern, but rather picked up at the beginning, then cut at the end of each worked section, leaving tails to be sewn in after.
This pattern is for ADULT WOMAN size only. Change in hook size may be required if tension is tight, so as to obtain required fit.
A test gage is recommended before starting the pattern.
Less than a skein of each colour is needed, and 200 yards or less of total yarn usage.*
