This simple garter stitch striped poncho is a fantastic canvas for playing with color. Use up your scraps from previous projects or combine single skeins accumulated over time.

Currently we’re running a test knit of this design in the Gage Hill Crafts group. The planned release date for this free pattern is late March, 2020.

The pattern calls for 6 colors of Harrisville Designs Highland yarn, but the total yardage used for the sample came in at just over 460 grams of worsted-weight yarn, so you could easily adapt this for a different number of colors if you have a large amount of a particular shade or if you have smaller quantities of more colors.

The pattern will include a blank coloring page so you can audition your color choices and stripe sequence before knitting.
