Sweateren strikkes oppefra og ned, først i en lang turtleneck, og efterfølgende med raglanudtagninger til fashioneringen af sweateren. Foruden raglanudtagninger findes detaljer i form af slids midt for på bagstykket, og glatstrikkede kanter, for at skabe et gennemgående og feminint design.
Sweateren er ligeledes holdt i en enkelt strukturstrik; enkeltrib (1x1 rib), som er gennemgående for både for- og bagstykke, samt for ærmestykkerne. Dog skal det bemærkes, at der strikkes drejet ret i stedet for ret på retsiden, samt drejet vrang i stedet for vrang på vrangsiden.

Når du skal vælge din størrelse, så gå efter din egen brystvidde, og udvælg størrelsen efter hvad der her er bedst passende. Det er en god idé at prøve din Skagen Sweater på undervejs, mens du strikker, for herved at opnå den perfekte længde til din krop – opskriften tager ikke højde for ekstra korte eller ekstra lange overkroppe, og kan derfor forkortes eller forlænges i henholdsvis krops- og ærmelængden, hvis dette er mere passende din kropstype.

Sweateren er strikket i to tråde; en tråd Belle og en tråd Kid-Silk, begge af mærket Drops, som giver sweateren det meget fine resultat, og hvad jeg syntes er fornemmelsen af en rigtig lækker sweater.
Materialerne kan naturligvis udskiftes med andre garner, men vær her opmærksom på at ramme samme strikkefasthed som den angivende i opskriften.

This sweater is knitted from the top to the bottom, first in a long turtleneck and subsequently with raglan removals for the fashioning of the sweater. Besides the raglan removals the sweater has a variety of fine and simple details. From the middle of the back body after the turtleneck to the edge of the body, there will be 6 stitches which are knitted in a stocking stitch but knit stitch through the back loop instead of knit stich at the right side. These 6 stitches will later be split to a slit from the waist to the bottom on the back of the sweater, separating the back body in the middle and creating a simple yet classic edge.

The sweater is knitted in a simple rib structure; plain rib (1x1 rib), which is continuous for both front- and back piece, as well as the sleeve pieces. It should be noted that it is a knit stitch through the back loop instead of a knit stitch at the right side, as well as a purl stitch through the back loop instead of a purl stitch at the wrong side.

When you are choosing your size, I will recommend you choose after the width of your chest.
It will always be a good idea to try on your Skagen Sweater while knitting, to achieve the perfect length compared to your body – you might have to shorten or extend the length to fit your upper body better.
I recommend trying on the sweater at least after the raglan removals and before the stocking stitch at the edge of the body and the sleeves.

The sweater is knitted with two threads: one thread Belle and one thread Kid-Silk, both by Drops. These will give the sweater the nice finish and give the sweater the cozy feeling that every nice sweater should have.
It will of course be possible to replace the yarn but pay attention on hitting the same gauge as indicated in this pattern.
