The Ski Moguls Mitts were designed while the Olympic Winter Games were held in PyeongChang. I was working on the pattern and posted a photo of the work in progress on Instagram, asking people what the pattern reminded them of. ”Ski moguls” was one of the answers, clearly influenced by the Olympics.

The mitts are worked in the round. Short and long versions are described, one covering the palm, the other covering most of the fingers and thumb. The pattern is fully charted and written. Separate charts/written instructions are given for the right hand, left hand and thumbs. Directions for three sizes are given. A natural fiber (merino, alpaca, lamb’s wool, etc.) yarn should be used, that will keep its shape.
