Always on-trend: the knitted skinny scarf – simple, stylish, and super quick to make! It’s the perfect accessory to elevate any outfit and a great little project for in between. So, grab your yarn, pick up your needles – and get started!

The scarf is knitted in stockinette stitch interrupted by cute, little eyelet stripes. Both narrow ends of the scarf are finished with a ribbing while the long sides are worked as i-cord. The scarf can easily be adapted in width and length by adapting the number of rows and stitches. For a visible texture contrast between the stocking part and the eyelet stripes, solid colored yarn or only slightly variegated / speckled yarn is recommended. Intensely variegated yarn will mask the differences in textures.

Skills needed:
Knit, purl stitches, knitting two stitches together, yarn over, and slipping stitches.

Gauge (10x10 cm):
24 stitches and 32 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch; washed and dried flat.

Needles:
Knitting needles (DPN or circular, depending on taste ad width of scarf) in sizes 3 mm and 4,5 mm or what is needed to obtain gauge.
