Step into Spring or Fall with this lovely shell patterned skirt. The pattern is quite free handed; it requires you to measure it against your body to find the fit most comfortable for you.

If you crochet using worsted weight yarn, the skirt will have some weight to it. Use DK/Fingering weight yarn if you want a light skirt that would be appropriate for summer. The skirt in the picture was crocheted using Caron Simply Soft in Black, and I used a H-8 (5.00mm) hook.

This skirt was originally crocheted using 4 skeins of worsted weight yarn. If you crochet with a loose tension, it may require an additional skein. If you are substituting for a lighter weight yarn, you will need less yards.

The skirt can be worn without a lining, but I included lining instructions if you wish to incorporate one.

If you want to make the skirt high waisted, simply include more rows when crocheting the waist band.
