The socks are worked top-down, and feature the design elements:
Short-row heels
Heel flaps
Picking up stitches
Kitchener stitch (to close the toes).

Special Note: You may notice that the sock depicted in this image is chunkier than normal. My first draft of this sock was on worsted weight yarn, and the images you see are this drafted version. The pattern is designed for sock weight yarn, but if you want a chunkier appearance, you can size up to a DK or sport weight yarn. I would not advise making this sock out of worsted weight, as it would be too thick for everyday wear.
