Skogsbær means “forest berries” in Norwegian. During the summer and fall here, the woods yield strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and lingonberries. I make lots of jam, which brightens & sweetens our breakfasts in the winter.

This shawl is a top-down Faroese with shoulder shaping and gusset, which make it easy to wear as it sits on your shoulders without falling off.

The pattern assumes that you can read charts, cast on provisionally, and have some experience knitting lace. A link is provided for 2 techniques to work nupps. There is a picture tutorial for attaching the edging.
