This sleepy baby rattle is a sweet and simple design. It is basic enough to work up in one afternoon, and creative enough to stimulate the imagination of a curious baby! The finished doll is approximately 7 inches tall with a 3.5 inches wide at the arms. The feet are made together, but the legs have a space between, for easy grasping!

Great rattle inserts can be found at American Felt and Craft: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AmericanFeltandCraft where they are lead, phthalate and BPA free, and they meet EN71 and CPSIA standards for safety.

Also, depending on the yarn you use, the whole toy can be made machine washable on gentle cycle, and tumble dry low, making it an easy to clean baby toy!

Children can choke or suffocate on small items. Please make sure rattle is securely crocheted into your toy and, as always, adult supervision is required.

Things to know:
You must know how to start with a magic ring, and how to crochet in rounds. You should know basic stitches, and how to inc and dec. It helps if you are familiar with creating amigurumi or 3-dimensional toys, but is not absolutely necessary. This is a pretty simple pattern with several pictures to provide a better understanding of the written pattern.
