While the sun was at it’s fullest, I already had my thoughts leaning for all the autumn vibes. So I made myself some new socks, with a simple slip stitch pattern and some cozy autumn colors. The Slip Along Sock feature a mosaic colorwork pattern.
YARN
330 (380, 430, 480) yards of fingering weight/sockweight yarn
Sample uses Wibra Sock in colour 200 Brown (100 grams/420 meters) as colour 1 and Durable Sock in colour 2172 Cream (50 grams/210 meters) as colour 2.
For all sizes: 1 main colour (100 grams) and 1 contrast colour (50 grams) are enough. Keep in mind that making the socks longer or having a different gauge might result in more or less yardage needed.
GAUGE
30 stitches and 46 rounds = 4”in stockinette stich, knit in the round
When checking for gauge please knit as to how the pattern is designed. For example, if the pattern is knit in the round you want to make your gauge swatch knit in the round as well.
NEEDLES
Using size US 1.5 (2.50 mm) or any size to obtain gauge
NOTIONS
Stitch markers, scissors and a darning needle
