This pattern is for a simple crochet filet cross. This cross can be used as a refrigerator magnet (glue magnets to the corners on the back) or as an ornament, hang it on your rear view mirror, or hang it on the wall above the door going into a bedroom. Anywhere you put this, it will be a reminder of God’s love for you and how He expressed that love on the Cross.

This pattern uses a small amount of any sport weight yarn. It only took about 30 yards, and is very quick. I wrote this pattern so that anyone who is unsure about being able to follow a chart or do filet crochet, would have a small project to be able to try it out. This also gives you an idea how to read my charts and my crochet written patterns. While this is written out more than my other patterns so that you can learn how to do filet crochet. In my other patterns, I have simply left the pattern as using X and O to symbolize a filled square and an open square. In this, I have written X and O, but I have also written out how many dc and chains that means.

This pattern uses the 3dc square for filet crochet to meet the size that I have made mine.

Lastly, with the pattern, is a link to show you how to read filet crochet charts, and another link to a video to show you how to do the chainless foundation stitch. Both these videos are included in any pattern I sell as well, to help you learn if you are new to filet crochet.
