SMALL DOLL & DRESS KNITTING PATTERN

Learn to knit this cute doll and her dress.

TECHNIQUES:
For the doll, there are three pieces to knit, the body is knitted flat, the limbs are knitted using the i-cord method. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams using the mattress stitch. This pattern uses short rows for shaping (turning mid-way through the line) and this is fully explained with photos to guide you.

Photo instructions are provided for embroidering the facial details and creating the hair.

WHAT YOU NEED
• 2 double-pointed 2.5 mm knitting needles
• Tapestry needle & Scissors
• 4ply Fingering/Sports wool – wool which would be used with 3-3.5mm needles
• Eyelash or fluffy wool for the hair
• Fingering Weight Wool for the dress – wool which would be used with 2-2.5mm wool
• 4mm or 5mm crochet hook
• Various colours of wool or embroidery thread for the facial features
• Soft washable stuffing – I use the end of a 4mm crochet needle to aid with pushing and moulding the stuffing

FINISHED SIZE: depending on your wool and knitting tension, the doll will measure 13-14cm in height.
