I designed these mittens for my daughter who goes to school in Boston - moved from sunny California. She can text without taking off the warm mittens!

YARN

  • The mittens are knitted with tighter gauge with smaller needles than suggested on the yarn. (Very warm and cozy:)
  • I used Madelinetosh “HOME”, only 13g left. You may have enough to do few rounds extra for ribbing or thumbs. (If you are adding in the ribbing, please repeat round1.)

SIZE

  • The pattern is written for women’s medium. (8” circumference)
  • It is very easy to make smaller or bigger size mittens using different weight of yarn or needle size. The gauge for this one is 3.5sts/1”. If you knit with 3sts/1”, you will get 9” circumference which is good size for Men’s medium size. I do recommend to knit with tighter gauge for thicker warm fabric.
  • Changing numbers of rounds is not recommended, since there are cables in the pattern.( except adding ribbing round1)

Great gift item! Super quick project!!
