Shaped like a heart - known as a Smitten - a Lover’s Mitten. This SMITTEN pattern is worked from top to bottom using a thermal knit stitch. The garment is worked in the round and can be made using all stockinette stitch if that is preferred. Some adjustments can be made to size to accommodate individuals with particularly small or large hands.

If you prefer to use a slightly larger needle set, just be sure to work enough length below the two cuffs to cover the knuckles of the person with the larger hand. Decreases will take care of the rest of the length needed.

If you want to make two outer mittens to go with the smitten, (pattern for outer mittens not included) two skeins of Plymouth Yarn will provide more than enough yardage to do that. Small amounts of complimentary colors may be wanted if stripes are desired on the cuffs of the smitten.
