Meet your new lovely plushie - Hiss the Snake!

This beginner-friendly pattern is designed to be worked with super bulky plush chenille yarns like Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Wolans Yarns Bunny Baby, or YarnArt Dolce, giving your finished toy a soft, velvety feel. Although you can also use other yarns like Bernat Blanket or similar bulky yarns, just keep in mind that the toy’s size will vary depending on your yarn choice.

ch – chain
st / sts – stitch / stitches
sc – single crochet

Materials & Tools:
- Chunky chenille / plush yarn (100% polyester, 100 g / 120 m = 3.5 oz / 131 yds)

Yarn needed (1 strand):
1st color (light green): ~ 20 g = 0.7 oz
2nd color (dark green): ~ 8 g = 0.28 oz

Yarn needed (2 strands, crocheted together for speckled effect):
~ 35 g = 1.23 oz of each color

• 4 mm (size G-6) crochet hook (1 strand) OR 6 mm (size J-10) crochet hook (2 strands together)
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing (hollow fiber)
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• 10 mm (0.39 in) plastic safety eyes (1 strand) OR 12 mm (0.47 in) plastic safety eyes (2 strands together)
• 3 stitch markers (or thin threads)
• Thin black yarn (for embroidering eye lines)

Finished Size:
The size of the finished toy is about 42 cm / 16.5 in (1 strand) and about 60 cm / 23.6 in (2 strands together) if you use the specified or similar materials and tools.
