The Snap Pea Top is worked from the top down in a cartridge rib stitch. First the back yoke is knit flat while short rows are worked to shape the shoulders. Then, each shoulder is picked up separately and worked flat with short rows before joining to form the front yoke. The front and back yoke are joined at the underarms to form the body, which is worked in the round. The collar is worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neck opening. The armholes are finished with a built-in i-cord edge or can be picked up later for a stockinette edge.

Bust shaping
This pattern includes optional bust shaping. To determine if you need additional bust shaping, measure your high bust and full bust and calculate the difference.
It’s better to have slightly too few short rows than slightly too many. If you are in-between or unsure, choose one cup size smaller.
