about this pattern
a whimsical brioche hood for setting out on a frosty winter’s morning. wear the hood up to keep ears warm, or lower it when you just need the scarf.
super long scarf ends mean you can have fun wrapping this way and that !
tie them in a big bow, or tuck them in the back for an extra layer of warmth.
this pattern was adapted from its sibling, the sno cap bonnet !

pattern overview
the sno cap hood is knit in brioche from end to end. you will start by making a long, skinny scarf. when it has reached the desire length, you’ll start working brioche increases and decreases to form the hood. the project is complete when the second end of the scarf is done.

yarn & needles
you can use any worsted weight wool yarn for this pattern. try to hit gauge for more accurate results.
recommended needle: US 7, 4.5 mm
please use double pointed or circular needles.
you may choose to use stitch markers as you work.
