The Snoodie…is it a hood? Is it a cowl? Is it the best of both worlds??

Yes, indeed! Snoodie is the light-weight accessory of your dreams. This is an excellent project for beginners on up!

Skills Needed: Knit in the round, knit flat, i-cord edging, 3-needle bindoff / kitchener (you choose!)

Start by knitting the cowl in the round and then begin to work flat for the sides of the hood. Once you’re at the top, you can close off the hood with either a 3-needle bind off or Kitchener stitch. Detailed instructions are given for both options.

Phoenix, the Lang yarn chosen for this project, makes a light, airy piece. However, any yarn that can be gauged at 4 sts/in can be used. Yardage may vary if you choose to use a different yarn. Always buy a little more than you think you’ll need!

Size - made to fit most adults. You can create a tighter face opening by picking up fewer stitches for the i-cord edging.
