This tiny sweater ornament with snowflake embroidery is a great way to learn both raglan sweater construction and duplicate stitch embroidery. The pattern includes a chart for the snowflake but any small chart can be used, or the sweater can be decorated in other ways! This is a great pattern to use up leftovers of sock yarn or other fingering weight scraps as it uses only a few grams for each tiny sweater.

About the Pattern
Skill Level: Intermediate

  • Knit Picks Palette (100% Peruvian Highland wool; Fingering weight; 231yds/50g).

Needles
* US 3 (3.25mm) needles (preferred method for working small circumferences), or size to obtain gauge

  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch markers (4 + BOR marker)

Gauge
* 32 sts and 40 rows = 4” (10cm) in Stockinette stitch in the round, blocked

Finished Measurements

Pattern Notes
This mini raglan jumper is knit top-down in the round, very much like a real sweater. You can embellish the front however you like, such as surface crochet or other embroidery, but a chart and tutorial to duplicate stitch a snowflake are included.
