Everyone one wants a great winter hat and every knitter wants a great hat that is fast to knit and looks amazing. The snowflake toque delivers on both fronts!

This is an easy 1—2 day knit (if you don’t have any distractions). Using different needle sizes to work the hat shaping means you are counting stitches constantly and worrying about increases and decreases, just cast on and start knitting. Using some classic fair isle patterns this hat will make you feel like you’re in a winter wonderland.

The toque comes in 3 sizes:

Small (under 20in / 50cm head circumference)
Medium (20 - 23in / 50 - 58cm head circumference)
Large (over 23in / 58cm head circumference)

The pattern uses 3 sizes of circular needle to create the shaping. (US 5, 6 and 7) (3.75, 4.00 and 4.50mm) needles on a shorter cable. In addition you will need US 6 (4.00mm) dpns and a tapestry needle as well as optional pompoms.

You will need 1 50g skein of your contrast colour and 2 50g skeins of your main colour in worsted weight.
