Snowy Forest
I’ve knitted three beautiful white Christmas trees that resemble snow-covered evergreens, using thick white yarn. For this project, gauge isn’t critical, so you can knit the trees in any yarn weight—DK, chunky, or aran—or even by holding two or three strands together. To achieve a soft, textured look, I recommend using a fluffy, airy yarn, such as boucle , mohair or a mixed yarn.
These trees can be made in any color, making them a perfect way to use up leftover yarn!
The final size of the trees will vary depending on the yarn weight and needle size you choose. The yarn I used is fluffy and soft, has 180m/100g, and is similar to boucle. I knitted them with 4mm needles. After finishing the trees, I washed them in the washing machine on the Wool cycle at 20°C (68°F), then dried them in the dryer to give them a beautiful, slightly fluffy appearance.
