In January after a busy holiday season, I often feel inspired to make peaceful winter ornaments. This year while looking out at the snowy, Minnesotan landscape, I thought a tranquil, snowy pine would be perfect!

My pines are knit completely in the round on dpns. Bobbles make for a pretty and simple snow trim. They are knit with worsted and sock yarn held together; green and white worsted for the main colors and a thinner white sock strand held double (to suggest a slight dusting of snow). Their bottoms are left open so that they can stand independently. These pines are a fun, wintery knit. Hope you enjoy!

This pattern is well written and easy to understand. It knit up way faster than I thought it would and it’s nice that it’s all one piece! (CharleneKirkland)

I had fun knitting while thinking of a snowy forest. (mirihi)

Thank you Natasha for that cute pattern. (Jofraima)

Another nice, cute pattern. Yes, I am not a fan of bobbles, but it worked out nicely. You need only a small amount of yarn. (Saphiera)
