What do you do with that lovely skein of sock yarn if you don’t knit socks, don’t want to hide the lovely yarn in your shoes or everyone you know has now been furnished with socks and you want to knit them all something else!?

You make Sockkens!

What are Sockkens?! Mittens knit out of sock yarn! Simon and I debated Sockkens versus Mittocks and while Mittocks, mittens from sock yarn, probably describes it better, it sounds just a little bit too like buttocks so Sockkens won.

This is a recipe rather than a pattern as arms and hands come in lots of different shapes and sizes. There are notes on how to adjust the different parts of the pattern to make them fit you best.
