These thick, cable-knit socks are a fun and satisfying project that works up quickly. The pattern is written for EU size 38/39, but the foot length can easily be adjusted to fit other sizes.

Test knitters used between 94 and 104 grams of yarn. To be on the safe side, the recommended amount is 150 g (assuming 50 g skeins). However, if you’re feeling adventurous and ready to play a bit of yarn chicken—or if you’re knitting a smaller size—100 g may be sufficient.

The pattern includes both charts and written instructions, so you can choose your preferred way of working.

This pattern is recommended for intermediate knitters due to the use of cable techniques.

A crochet hook is used for the cast-on method. If you don’t have one, you can substitute it with any other preferred cast-on technique.
