Soft autumn cardigan
DESCRIPTION
Soft autumn cardigan is a cropped cardigan with wide sleeves and a clean, simple design. It’s knitted back and forth, from the top down, in stockinette stitch. First, the back piece is knitted, followed by the shoulders and the front pieces. The pieces are joined under the arms to knit the body down to the waist (or your desired length). An i-cord is picked up and knitted along the entire edge of the body, starting at the bottom edge, going up the front, around the neckline, and back down the other front side. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves, which are knitted in stockinette stitch with decreases to shape them. The sleeves are worked using the Magic Loop technique or double-pointed needles and then finished with an i-cord bind off. If desired, a bias tape and hooks can be sewn to the inside edge of the cardigan to provide structure and allow the cardigan to open and close.

SIZE GUIDE
The garment has a bust measurement of: 92 (96) 102 (106) 112 (116) 122 (126) cm.
Measure yourself before starting, to ensure you choose the correct size. The cardigan has a positive ease of approximately 8-11 cm compared to your actual bust measurement.
Example: If your bust measurement is 93 cm, then 93 + 8-11 cm = 101 - 104 cm, which means you should knit size 3 with a bust measurement of 102 cm.
The model in the photo has a bust measurement of 85 cm and is wearing size 2, with 11 cm of positive ease.
GAUGE
In stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles - 21 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Be sure to make a swatch before starting your project, as you may need to adjust the needle size to achieve the correct gauge.
