Solstice is a beret style (slouchy) brioche beanie with four panels of faux cables, creating a snowflake like effect. The motif and colors remind me of snowflakes and all things winter … also reminds me of Disney’s Frozen :-)

The cables are created using brioche increase and decrease stitches and the result is a very elastic hat that will fit a range of head sizes.

Winter Solstice marks the beginning of winter and the shortest day of the year. This year, it will also coincide with the peak of the 2019 Ursids meteor shower. Maybe we’ll all get a chance to wish upon a shooting star!
