Something Simple Shawl
Description:
This is a crescent shaped shawl using one 100g skein of fingering weight yarn.
As with everything I design, I had a completely different vision than what transpired on my needles. And even though what I had in mind didn’t take place, what came about is something simple and sweet. Hence the name Something Simple Shawl.
This is a very meditative and mindless knit with very minute and delicate texture on the edges. It is perfect for that random skein of fingering weight yarn that we aren’t quite sure what to make of it.
I hope that you find relaxation, peace, and calm as you settle down with your fibre of choice and needles.

Notes:
This pattern is meant to be fuss free and easy, it is a one size pattern and there is no strict gauge for this pattern.
If you would like a tighter fabric go down a needle size or two, if you would like a more airy fabric go up in needle sizes.
You will need a full 100g/400 yards of fingering weight yarn to complete this pattern.
The measurements of the sample are approximately: 58” point to point and 9” at its widest point/midsection.
I used all 100g of yarn to complete this shawl, including the tassels. Some scrap yarn in a contrasting colour was used to help make the tassels.

I have a small tutorial on my Instagram page saved in my story highlights on how I do my picot bind off.
There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that are helpful as well.
