About this Pattern

Wrap yourself in winter’s quiet magic with Sparkling Snowflake, a striking mosaic‑knit wrap that captures the shimmer of frost against a midnight sky. Worked in two skeins of 4‑ply yarn, choose one skein in a deep, moody shade and one bright, contrasting highlight. Watch as your knitting transforms simple slipped‑stitch colourwork into bold, crystalline snowflake motifs.

Stitches Used – Knit, purl, slipped stitches

Sizes – One size

Measurements – The finished, blocked wrap has a wingspan of 55.5” (141cm) and a depth of 18.5” (47cm)

Materials

• Yarn A – Contrast Yarn – 437yd / 400m, 3.5 oz / 100g 4 ply, sock or fingering weight yarn. The yarn used in the pattern pictures is Under the Olive Tree Knits Sparkle Sock yarn, 75% Superwash Merino / 20% Nylon / 5% Silver Stellina in ‘Snow’ (1 skein)
• Yarn B - Background Yarn – 464yd / 425m, 3.5 oz / 100g 4 ply, sock or fingering weight yarn. The yarn used in the pattern pictures is Under the Olive Tree Knits Sock yarn, 75% Superwash Merino / 25% nylon the ‘Jewelled Night’ colourway (1 skein)
• US size 5 (3.75mm) 23.5” (60cm) circular needle or a pair of 3.75mm straight needles
• 2 stitch markers to mark off border stitches
• A tapestry needle for weaving in the ends

Gauge: 24 stitches and 34 rows to 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch after blocking
