This witchy hat is worked from the bottom up in stockinette stitch with an easy-to-follow increase pattern. After the cone of the hat is completed, stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge to create the brim, where increases are worked for approximately 2 inches, before then beginning decreases in order complete a folded bind off. With super-bulky yarn, this hat works up incredibly fast, and is perfect for last-minute costume additions for holidays and festivals.

Spells & Sprinkles is offered in two sizes: child and adult and the fit of either is highly adjustable in super-bulky/jumbo sized yarn. The pattern contains instructions for customizing the fit upon finishing the hat. Gauge is approximate, as Knit Collage is handspun yarn and contains thick and thin elements in jumbo weight yarn that make it difficult to standardize.

Notes are given in pattern for how to use other superbulky/jumbo weight yarn (Knit Picks Tuff Puff and scrap yarn, for example) to keep yarn costs down and offer alternatives that are just as sprinkly and cute (holding scrap yarn quadruple or more with superbulky yarn will create a colorful marl with a similar sprinkled effect).
