Your friendly neighborhood Christmas ornament!

This ornament is worked flat using intarsia colorwork and then seamed around an ornament form.

Kits containing the yarn, ornament form and felt cutouts are also available in the LexiCorp Etsy shop.

Yarn

~60 yards of fingering weight yarn in red and blue, e.g. Knit Picks Palette:

  • Jay (35 yds)
  • Serrano (25 yds)

Needles

• US1 (2.25mm) needles (straight will work, though double pointed or long circulars will be more comfortable)

Additional Materials

• 3.27” ornament (shatterproof recommended)

  • Red and black felt
  • Darning needle for weaving in ends
  • Craft glue (e.g. Aleene’s Tacky Glue)
  • Optional: black crochet thread for webbing

Skills required:
increasing and decreasing, intarsia, flat stranded knitting, mattress stitch.
