This lace stitch pattern is one I have admired for a long time in my 1500 Patterns stitch encyclopedia by Mon Tricot, and thought it would be perfect for a sock pattern. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease with which it worked into a sock and happy with the results. Combined with side ribbing, it has a nice snug fit.

A smaller size can be obtained by shortening the heel flap to 2 1/4 inches and shortening the foot. A large size, by increasing heel flap to 2 3/4” and adding one repeat of lace chart to foot.

Please note that changing the heel flap length will affect number of stitches around the gusset.

The pattern is knit on size 1 DPN’S or size needed to obtain gauge. The instructions are written for DPN’s. The only other needle required is a tapestry needle. A stitch marker is optional --it might make it easier to see the front of the sock as you progress.

Note: Print versions of the PDF’s were offered for sale at the Yarn Shop only, pattern PDF was never available online. EDIT Jan 17, 2022: there were technical issues with the sock download link being available. So there are just a few projects. The pattern was activated about a week ago.

EDIT: Jan 17, 2022. I reviewed pattern which was written without online charting sites. I did make up a chart, but did not know how to include it in the PDF. So I do not have a chart. However, the lace is a fairly simple lace pattern, and I I think you will be able to read the written instructions without a problem. If you have any questions, please message me!

EDIT: January 20, 2022. If you would like a chart, please message me and I will send you one.
