The Splendiferous Stripes Shawl is actually a pretty simple pattern: all you need to know is the knit stitch, purl stitch, and one increase (KFB). It’s fun to watch the colors of Chroma shift and change as you knit and see the way the same Chroma color looks different against the light and dark stripes. To create this study in stripes, you’ll need 2 balls of Chroma worsted in the color of your choice, 2 balls of Chroma fingering in Bittersweet Heather and 2 balls of Chroma fingering in Natural. If you want a larger color palette to choose from for your solid stripes, Palette or Stroll fingering would be good yarn substitutions for the solid Chroma fingering colors. The finished shawl is 66” wide and 21” long at the center point.
