Inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas movie, these spooky mittens, created with black light reactive dyed yarn from Gingersnap Yarns, is perfect for the Halloween season. With spiders, bats, snake eyes, and bogeymen you’ll have as much fun knitting them as wearing them.

These mittens are knit from the cuff up with a 2x2 rib and fun contrasting stripes. The thumb is an afterthought thumb. This pattern is written for fine sock yarn using US1/2.25mm to get a gauge of 40 st x 44 rounds = 4” (10cm). There are directions for three sizes, Children’s (to fit 6-8yrs approximately), Adult Medium and Adult Large. By using heavier yarn and different needles it is possible to get different sizes.
