Spooky Season
Imagine a vibrant mosaic crochet blanket designed with a whimsical Halloween theme. Each section of the blanket showcases a different motif:
Black Cats: A charming Black cat with glowing green eyes with black crosses.
Witch Hats: Adorned with colorful bands.
Graveyard: A spooky graveyard scene features gravestones and gnarled trees.
Bats: Fluttering bats.
Cauldrons: Rich with a bright green evokes the essence of magical brews, with steam curling upwards.
Potion Bottles: Bright potion bottles, filled with vibrant liquids, showcase a small skull label design.
Spiders: Creepy yet captivating spiders with detailed legs add an element of whimsy, weaving their webs across the section sandwiched between playful skulls
The blanket is a tapestry of colors—deep blacks, vibrant purples, greens, and oranges—from one section to the next. Each motif creates a striking visual contrast that celebrates the charm of Halloween while providing warmth and comfort.
Approximate size is 63x82 inches
I used anchored double crotchet stitches which make the finished product more dense and a smoother back side as there are no unworked back loops. This does however use more yarn.
Black - 6 skeins
Pumkin - 6 skeins
Soft White - 3 skeins
Medium purple - 1 skein
Spring Green - 1 skein
Ecru - 1 skeins
There are minimal instructions on how to make the throw smaller. You could also use dk or sport weight yarn and appropriate hook size to make it smaller.
Guage is not important as it is not a fitted garment.
Please note, this pattern does not include mosaic crochet, modified border stitches or envelope border instructions and would not be suited to someone new to mosaic crochet.
