Spooky Season Mittens
Pull up a comfy chair, make a hot beverage,and get knitting on these spooky mittens! This is a fun and easy colourwork pattern that is a perfect accessory for Halloween. Make them for yourself or a loved one who loves the spooky season!
Size: One size, medium adult. Finished and blocked mittens measure:
Length: approx. 22 cm/8.7”
Circumference: approx. 18 cm/7.1”
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles. You can also remove rows or even a whole pattern section if needed.

MC: Järbo Junior Raggi 68405 (Black)
CC1: Mayflower 1 class 2008 (Purple)
CC2: Järbo Junior Raggi 68402 (Brown)
CC3: Mayflower 1 class 2013 (Bronze Green)
CC4: Mayflower 1 class 09 (Mandarin)
CC5 : Järbo Junior Raggi 68401 (Natural White)
Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):
MC: 30 g
CC1-5: Approx. 5 g/colour
One ball of yarn: 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards. You can replace these suggestions with any other yarn of the same weight, preferably a woolmix for socks, for better durability.
Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles sizes 2 mm/US 0 (for ribbing) and 2.5 mm/US 1.5 (for colourwork) or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.
Other materials needed:
Darning needle and scissors
A piece of scrap yarn
Gauge for colourwork:
Approx. 34 st/38 rows = 10 cm/4”.
Pattern is available in English and Swedish.
Pattern uses 2 colour stranded knitting, except for one row where there are 3 colours. Option for doing the third colour with duplicate stitches is included in pattern.
