Springlet is a light cropped singlet made from cotton and bamboo fibres. Simple lacework and bobbles make up the clusters of flowers below ribbing for the sky, a joyful springtime scene.

Notes
The pattern is written for a cropped singlet, but if you prefer a longer one simply add more repeats of the chart when working the lower section.
When working the lower section, make sure to carry the floats of the flower colour loosely as cotton yarn does not stretch very much.

The lower section is worked flat, then seamed. The upper section picks up stitches from the cast-on edge of the lower section, to be worked in the round.

Sizing
Sizes given are for an under bust circumference of 60,(75),90 cm, and a bust of 70,(85),100 cm.

This garment is worked in two separate sections, so the appropriate bust and under-bust sizes can be interchanged from the available options. Note the lower section of the singlet will not have much stretch, so the widest part of the torso to be covered by the singlet should be used for the under-bust measurement, and if the measurement is between sizes, it is better to use the larger one.

Yarn
1,(2),2 balls 100g Ficio organic cotton 8ply in green, for base of lower section
1 ball 100g Ficio organic cotton 8ply in white (or smaller amounts of several colours), for flowers
1,(2),2 balls 50g Ficio Noya bamboo cotton in sky blue, for upper section

A note on yarn substitutions: the yarn used for the bottom section is quite a stiff cotton yarn, whereas the bamboo cotton blend for the top section has much more of a soft drape. Aim for similar characteristics when substituting different yarns.

Needles
4mm straight needles for lower section
3mm circular needles 80cm for upper section

5,(6),7 stitch markers
Darning needle
Safety pins or stitch holders
