Squishy worsted weight (10ply) yarn, stripes, colour changes, and a little texture. That’s what you’ll find in this wide, cosy triangle shawl. An easy, meditative knit perfect for 3 skeins (a speckled or variegated colour, a complimentary solid and solid with a good contrast) that doesn’t require blocking! Designed for bundling up, this shawl also has a curved top edge to go comfortably around your neck for perfect everyday wear.

This purchase comes with 4 PDFs. Instructions are written in 2 styles and the choice of 2 handy tick-sheets showing stitch counts, pattern placement, and colour changes are also provided to help you keep track of your work. One has stitch patterns included so that you can knit from the tick-sheet alone after set-up, and the other does not.

This pattern is written for Worsted weight yarn but is equally effective in DK (8ply) as only the finished size (and yardage) will vary.

Yarn
MC (speckled): 212m/232yd of worsted weight (10ply) yarn (I used 96g Hedgehog Fibres Merino Singles at 220m/241yd per 100g/3.5oz col. Oracle).
CC1 (semi-solid - complimentary): 180m/197yd of worsted weight (10ply) yarn (I used 121g Madelinetosh Tosh Merino at 192m/210yd per 130g/4.6oz col. Charcoal).
CC2 (semi-solid - contrasting): 173m/190yd of worsted weight (10ply) yarn (I used 117g Madelinetosh Tosh Merino at 192m/210yd per 130g/4.6oz col. Coquette).

Needles & Notions
Pair of 5mm (US 8). I like to use an 80cm/31.5” circular needle set but straight are fine also. 4 stitch markers.

Finished Measurements
59cm (23”) deep at centre x 180cm (71”) wide along top edge (unblocked).
