#2 double pointed needles 4.5 mm (size 7) double pointed needles
#3 double pointed needles 5.0 mm (size 8) double pointed needles
Tapestry Needle
4” faux fur pompom (optional)

Gauge:
Using the #2 (4.5 mm) size needles: 17 stitches and 24 rows make a 10 cm (3.9 inch) square. Stranding in this hat requires running the unused yarn behind your work. Make sure to keep these runs relaxed, or the hat will be too tight. I strongly suggest checking your gauge throughout your work, especially once you get to the 3-strand rows where the red in the eyes is worked.
