Stagg is a one-skein cowl design for Indie Untangled’s Where We Knit Yarn Club subscribers. The sample is knit with H+W Forge in custom colorway - Bourbon & Blues. This design is available to subscribers exclusively until February 2024.

Bourbon & Blues … An iconic American whiskey and the artistry of this uniquely American music inspires a new design and custom colorway in Hudson + West’s American made, sheep to skein, Merino-Corriedale blend yarn. Stagg combines plump cables, a touch of texture, and changing needle sizes to produce a well fitting cowl that snugs in all of the right places.

Stagg begins with a tubular cast-on and is knit bottom-to-top, with a small amount of short rows to shape the bottom center. A larger needle is used at the bottom and smaller needle at the top, to give the cowl a slightly A-lined fit, so that it lays closer to the neck as you approach the face.

Pattern instructions are written and charted.
Techniques used: tubular cast-on, cabling (with and without a cable needle), wrap & turn short rows, tubular bind-off.
