From Domiknitrix:

Enough of that Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel sameness!  Who says your sofa can’t wear your knitting too?  I chose the star because it rings true in so many cultures:  It’s a symbol of the light of dying suns, of the goddess Venus, of Christ’s wounds and of pagan faith.  Lounge on this pillow and get in touch with your spiritual self, be ye heathen or Christian or whatever lies betwixt.

There’s no need to toil in eternal purgatory with this project either.  The chunky yarn makes for a happy introduction to intarsia, and it’s easy to untangle.  It’s quick to knit at this gauge, too:  Go ahead, worship at the Church of Instant Gratification.  Just this once.
