This is a pattern for the Pokemon Starmie! Similar to my Staryu pattern, but a bit more complex due to its larger size and more arms to deal with. It’s still a good beginner project though, and looks great next to my little Staryu doll!

The gauge provided is the generic gauge for Caron Simply Soft and a 4mm hook, but gauge is not important to this work. It’s more important that you use a hook that gives you a firm, tight weave to ensure there aren’t gaps that expose the stuffing. If you use a different yarn, be sure to make test swatches to ensure you’re using an appropriate hook.
