Knit in a wonderfully textured reversible broken rib, this simple hat pattern gives you four different styling options with just one stitch pattern! Fold up a brim to keep your ears extra cozy, or leave it slouchy for a more laid back look.

This pattern is perfect for showing off your favorite worsted weight wool. You have the option of adding a small stripe at the brim for an extra accent, or stick with one color to highlight a hand-spun or hand-dyed yarn.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
17” (19”, 21”) circumference
to fit head circumference 19”-20.5” (21”-22.5”, 23-24.5”)

YARDAGE: (worsted weight)
Single-Color Version: 150 (180, 210) yds
Two-Color Version: 130 (155, 180) yds MC + 30 (35, 40) yds CC

Gauge is not super critical for this project, as long as you’re in the worsted weight ballpark, since size can be adjusted in blocking - or not! The sample shown in Malabrigo Rios (“Liquidambar”) was NOT blocked, leaving it a bit snugger and squishier, while the sample in Cascade Eco Cloud was wet-blocked, giving it a more defined shape and a bit more room to breathe.
