Stibiden (or the Seven-Rib Shell warp), is not necessarily a pattern for beginners or for the times you hardly want to think, this lace wrap is a wonderfully mindful knit, requiring enough attention that your focus remains on the beauty at hand.
For this version, I used a combination of gorgeous colour yarn: the straight-from-the-sky colour is from Hjertegarn Kunstgarn, Madelinetosh tosh merino light is light and nuanced with sparkle, and kalinka deep blue add contrast to the project, it is a perfectly balanced blue and light and dark.
Choose any colour from any beautiful palette and fabricate a little nature!
Gather a collection of fingering weight yarns for this warp.
Only one strand of yarn is used during each row.
The instructions indicate where all the color changes occur, but this garment is meant to be a canvas for playing with color.
You can also knit this shawl in one colour to exaggerate the texture of this shawl.
This shawl is worked back and forth in rows from the bottom up, the lace pattern is worked on right side of the shawl. The Lace pattern is both charted and fully written out.
The stitch count changes throughout the chart(24rows) in this pattern. (ie: row13: 28sts count after row 14 = 16 sts, and row 32, = 18 sts).

special point: Decrease 7:
7dec LL: sl 6sts kwise one at the time, knit the 7th st , pass the 6sts previously slipped over the st just worked.(6 sts dec).
7dec RL: k1, slip st back to LH needle, pass the following 6 st over the just slipped, slip the remainning st to RH neddle. (6 sts dec).
All increase is done with yarn over, and k2tog and ssk slanting decrease are used.Twisted rib is used thought the model.
