Stormy Seas is a stole or a long scarf. It is knitted sideways. Short rows are used to create the wavy shapes which are knitted in garter stitch with 2 strands of Rowan Kidsilk Haze held together. The four colourways are used in different combinations to derive additional shades of blue. The pale blue lines separating the waves are 2 rows of stocking stitch with a single strand of yarn. Beads are used on 2 of the waves placed in random fashion to evoke the sense of froth of stormy seas.
