Storsjöfrost is a series of patterns inspired by the first frosty mornings in my beloved Jämtland. The other patterns are available here on Ravelry and the series is also continuing to grow.

Storsjöfrost Mittens are knitted in double thread of Nutiden (or any other unspun yarn) in two colors. If you want the pattern to be clear I recommend high contrast between the two colors. The cuff is knitted with a smaller needle, in broken rib. The thumbs has ah thumbs gusset which fits nicely in the hand.

The stranded pattern is very meditating to knit since it’s easy to follow. The pattern is also very suitable for beginners, and if you for the first time want to try working in Nutiden it’s a good place to start.

The requirement of yarn can differ from color to color but you need approximately 50, 60, 70 grams of main color and 20, 25, 30 of the contrasting color.

Sizes available are: S: 926 cm, M: 1028 cm, L 1128 cm.

I hope you will enjoy these warm and cosy mittens as much as I do and I wish you a very enjoyable knitting session.
