This is a wonderful pattern that creates a cable look without the cable hook. I am often knitting while on a train and it helps to not have to worry about dropping items since you may not be able to find them. I do however, enjoy creating items with a cable look and since most cables require the cable hook to correctly form the cable this pattern is terrific.
The cable pattern is featured in a sweater from an old knitting book from the 1940’s that my Grandmother, Edith was sweet enough to give me. Since making that first sweater I have been inspired with this cable and use it in a lot of different patterns that I create. Since it is really easy and adds quite a bit of class to the garment it is a great addition to any knitter’s book of knowledge.

The strapless top is a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe. It is both casual and dressy and allows you to match your clothes by adding a ribbon. You can add I Cord straps to the top or weave elastic whatever your taste is. The cables run across the bust and down the front, which helps adding length to the right places.
