In striking three-colour stripes, this easy-to-wear sweater is knitted in two separate pieces – back and front – beginning with a K2, P2 ribbed band, and increasing out for short sleeves.
Short rows shape the upper edge of the sleeves and shoulders, and the back and front pieces are joined at the shoulders using a three-needle cast-off. The back has shallow neck shaping and the front a standard crew neck shape.
The armhole bands and neckband stitches are picked up and worked in the round in rib.
The only seams required are those to join the pieces together at the sides.
This short-sleeved sweater requires average to intermediate knitting skills.

Special thanks to:
Marian Borges for modelling this sweater and Linda for sample knitting.
