This adorable baby girl sunhat (updated version) has a ruffled brim to keep sun out of baby’s eyes and protects her delicate head from sunburn and wind. The hat portion is worked flat in rows, and the ruffled brim is worked in the round, The flower adornment is an optional crocheted embellishment and, of course, may be substituted however the knitter wishes, but instructions are also given for the flower.

Four sizes are given: 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 and 9-18 months.

The pattern requires a little bit of negative ease so that the hat does not slide around on the baby’s head but has a nice snug and comfortable fit.

I will run a special from mid May - June 30. The coupon code will be publicized in my Ravelry group - http://www.ravelry.com/groups/baa-baa-yaya-podcast. I would love it if you join so you may be aware of freebie patterns and special discounts.
